There is a reason people did not buy the windows phone and sooner rather then later no one will want a PC with Windows.Īlmost forgot.I can download "Amazon Prime Video" app to the Xbox which is hmmm.oh ya a Microsoft OS.so don't tell me this is an Amazon thing. Of course I see I can download Netflix directly from the Microsoft store and do exactly what the OP is trying to do but of course no "amazon prime video app"ĭon't get me started on all the "Google apps" you don't offer.
I purchased my Lenovo X1 carbon laptop for travel and found out this was not available on "Microsoft".believe me when I say I will "NEVER" purchase a computer with a Microsoft OS again.especially in this day and age of streaming services of which youĭon't allow. We all know you can login to Amazon thru aīrowser and watch a video but it does ZERO good when you are traveling in a plane or no access to wifi/data. To clarify what the OP was asking is to have the app so you can "download" the movies from Amazon directly to their device so they can watch them when traveling and don't have access to WIFI (in and airplane). You can get this app on "EVER" device offered "except" a windows OS pc/laptop/phone. "Microsoft" does not allow or offer the "Amazon Prime Video" app in your "Microsoft app store". What a load of crap.this is a Microsoft issue and NOT AN AMAZON issue. I will keep working with you until it's resolved. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. You don't need an app, just sign into Amazon Prime in your browser (I used Edge just now) and choose the video you want to play.
I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you. I expect more from one of the world's largest companies quite frankly. Given Prime deliveries are now not guaranteed next day, please explain why I should continue to pay you a hefty yearly fee that does not grant me access to all the features because I do not use Apple or Samsung devices? I pay a lot of money each year for Prime and I am annoyed You still haven't given a clear reason why this is isn't available.
I am well aware that you can download on Android and Apple IOS and not on Windows, which is why I contacted you in the first place. Please use the buttons below to vote about your experience today. I apologize for any inconvenience.Īt this time, you can download Prime Video titles on iOS devices, Android devices, Fire Tablets, and Fire phone. Video files you copy to an external drive or other media for the purpose of backup are not available for playback.
